Taking jaunts home to Grand Rapids for shoots and family time is one of my favorite parts of the year. It’s a city which I do love and if it weren’t for those frigid winters, would think about living. Growing up, Rachael and I were next door neighbors. She was a few years older than me so I always felt so cool to be hanging out with the “older kids” in elementary school. I’m sure we spent countless hours in her basement playing house or barbiew.
Over Thanksgiving I posted a contest for a free mini portrait session and she was the lucky winner!
Here’s what she said in her contest registration:
“Nathan and I have been married almost 5yrs (Jan 21st) and we were pretty much jr. high sweeties.Nate is an amazing guy, and I am so very, very thankful and blessed that he is my husband. We have two beautiful daughters together. He is the best Father to our girls. He obviously works full time, to give me the chance to stay at home and raise out daughters. After working long hard days, he ALWAYS comes home, jumps right in and helps me with whatever I may need at the time. His girls are his pride and joy, and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. I am thankful for his huge heart, he is such a loving guy, and would do anything and everything for our family. He is a hard worker, is always giving to others, and never enough to himself! I would be lost with out him, he is my best friend and my partner in life.”
Rachael and Nate didn’t have wedding photos and were so grateful to finally have some photos of the two of them.
Thank you so much for allowing me into your story a little bit. It was an honor and you two are a beautiful pair.
